Guest experiences are shaped by far more than the accommodation itself. Communication, expectations, responsiveness, cleanliness, problem-solving and the way concerns are handled can determine whether someone leaves recommending a property or warning others about it.
This publicly shared experience — and the conversation it generated — is a useful example of why host preparation matters. Individual experiences should not be treated as a reflection of Jamaica or Jamaican hospitality as a whole; they are better used to examine the specific hosting practices, decisions and service gaps that guests encounter.
